Ordering FAQs
How do I buy from Central Park Farms?
We currently offer weekly home delivery as well as pick up from our farm shop.
Our farm shop is located at 225 216th Street in Langley and is open Tuesday: 9am — 1pm, Thursday: 12pm — 4pm, and Saturday 10am — 2pm.
Do I need to preorder if I’m coming to the farm shop?
Not at all! We have multiple glass front freezers full of products and you can just show up during our open hours and shop for whatever products we have. Whatever is available online will be available in the store plus we sometimes have some farm store exclusive items that don’t travel well for home delivery.
If you prefer to just pop in and grab an order that’s already packed and ready to go, then we suggest placing an online order for pick up.

Is there a charge for delivery?
There’s a minimum order of $150 for home delivery and the fee is $11.95. DELIVERY IS FREE FOR ORDERS OVER $300.
Do I need to be home to receive my delivery?
No, all our products are shipped frozen and if you’re not home at time of delivery it’s packed in an insulated box. This will extend the time it can be kept on your doorstep, but you’ll want to have someone receive it in a timely fashion.
To cut down on unnecessary packaging many customers leave a cooler out for us if they don't plan to be home.
You’ll receive a text message prior to delivery and then again once it’s on your doorstep.
I live in an apartment, can you deliver to me?
Yes, as long as you'll be home the day of delivery to meet us in the lobby or if there’s an option to leave it with a receptionist in your building.
When is the order deadline?
We need 48 hours from the time of order for delivery or pick up. That said, we often have them ready sooner so reach out if you need an order sooner. Please keep in mind that we’re a family run farm and do all the jobs from caring for animals to packing orders and delivering them, so we may not be able to make exceptions to the 48 hour deadline depending on the week.
What do you mean by ‘free-range’?
Normally found when dealing with chicken, pork, and eggs. Free range animals are raised free of cages and provided access to the outdoors.
Central Park Farms’ chicken is free range with unlimited outdoor pasture access once they're old enough to handle outdoor temperatures.
Do you give your animals antibiotics or medications?
No we don’t — Central Park Farms’ free range chicken, eggs, pork, and beef is antibiotic free.
We will not however refuse treatment of a sick animal, we just simply do not sell that meat to our customers. Instead we allow for the safe and legal withdrawal period and either eat the meat personally, or often we donate this healthy meat to our local food back for families in need in our community.
It’s worth mentioning that after the withdrawal period this meat is safe. From transparency reasons we remove this meat from our Central Park Farms program so you can feel confident that the products you’re feeding your family come from animals never treated with medications.
Do you give your animals hormones?
In Canada, no hormones are permitted by law to be given to chickens or hogs. So all chicken and pork grown in Canada — Central Park Farms’ meat included — is hormone free.
However, chicken and pork sold in grocery stores can be imported from other countries, in which case added hormones may have been used.
In Canada, hormones are permitted in beef cows; however we choose to raise hormone-free beef. It’s important to note that before an animal can be processed, it legally needs to have gone through a withdrawal period.
It’s important to note that all animals have natural hormones but Central Park Farms chicken, pork, beef, and eggs are all free of added hormones. We never use growth hormones.
What do you feed your chickens?
Our poultry — both our meat birds and our egg layers — are fed a locally milled, non-GMO, soy-free, and corn-free feed.
Aside from their non-GMO feed, they also consume anything they can scratch up from their pasture including grass and bugs. So although our feed is free of any animal by-products, due to their ability to eat bugs and grubs our chickens are not vegetarian and naturally as omnivores, they shouldn't be.
Do your cows get any grain?
Our cattle are fed only 100% grass and hay. They never receive any grains.
We feed our cattle quality, high-protein alfalfa which helps give them a better fat marble than grass fed beef raised on low quality grass/hay.
Where are your animal processed?
All our animals are processed at federally and provincially inspected plants in the Fraser Valley and butchered locally by the team at Lepp Farm Market.
Are your products gluten and dairy free?
All our meat products are including our sausages are gluten and dairy free however, please keep in mind that our butchers are not a gluten and dairy free facility so although unlikely, cross contamination can happen.
Our line of chef crafted prepared foods are not gluten and dairy free, please review the ingredients list of individual products for more information.
Is your cured meat like ham nitrate and nitrite free?
Our dry-cured meats use nitrites as a necessary preservative to increase shelf life, enhance colour, and most importantly, to eliminate the harmful Botulism bacteria.
The local health authority requires all producers to use one or the other. We choose to use naturally occurring nitrites (celery salt).
All cured deli meats use sodium nitrate or nitrite as preservatives, even those labelled organic or natural.

Misc. FAQs
Can we come tour your farm?
In the past we offered open farm days and tours however back in 2021 we sold the land we farm here in Langley. With the sale, we entered a lease agreement and still farm that same land but since that property is now someone else’s home, out of respect for their family, we don’t bring people outside of our team to the farm.
In the future we plan to offer ranch stays at our ranch in Rock Creek so stay tuned for those details.
Is your farm shop where the animals are?
No, where you pick up is located on a different property only a couple blocks away from where we farm.
We’re so lucky that Jay’s family gave us space on their old farm to store our meat, package our orders, and a place for customers to come shop.
That said we do occasionally graze some cattle there, depending on the time of year, you might see them in a front pasture.
Can I come work/volunteer for you?
We are a very small team of mostly family but from time-to-time we may have a part time opening. If so you can find listings here.
The work we do can be dangerous with the operation of large equipment and livestock, for that reason we don’t accept volunteers on the farm. We want to make sure everyone is covered under workers compensation.
Depending on the year and our current needs, we do accept youth employment through the Langley School District’s W.A.V.E program to help grade 12’s receive graduation credits for their work on the farm.
I’m a farmer or am trying to become one, is there a way I can come learn from you?
Kendall does offering coaching and mentorship for farmers in the areas of marketing and business. You can learn more about that here.
