Visiting Langley -- The Wine Lover's Addition

Whether you're coming to the farm to pick up pork, chicken, or quail, we really appreciate you taking the time to come out to our farm in Langley. We have valued customers throughout the Fraser Valley, Vancouver, and when it comes to our live quail, throughout BC.

We know the trek for some of you is far, so why not make a day out of it? For those who aren't familiar with Langley, we really have some great stuff going on here these days -- including multiple award-winning wineries!

Central Park Farms is lucky enough to call many of these gems, our neighbors.

And, since I love our customers, I'm sharing my favourite Langley wineries... even if that means the line to get my hands on a bottle might be a little longer. You guys are worth it!

Vista D'oro Winery

This 10-acre winery overlooking Campbell Valley Park has much to offer as an agritourism destination. Not only do they have an eclectic line up of delicious wines including their fortified walnut wine but they have an incredible collection of preserves for sale on site. I took the photo above from my picnic blanket under one of the many trees on the property. It was such a relaxing day and I suggest you stop into Vista D'oro Winery for a visit when you're out our way.

Township 7 Vineyards & Winery

Township 7, not only produces wonderful wine but also throws one heck of a party! I've had the pleasure of attending multiple events there and they never disappoint. They also have a great wine club called Club7 which is worth checking out.

Backyard Vineyards

If you're anything like this girl and love the bubbles be sure to check out Backyard Vineyards. Since opening in 2009, this Langley winery has won multiple awards for their reds, whites, and bubble. And, they use 100% BC grown grapes which is a plus for any locavore! There are many different tasting and tour options available at the winery so be sure to check out their website for more information on booking.

Chaberton Estate Winery

Not only does Chaberton Estate Winery have a fabulous tasting room and front lawn set up to enjoy a glass or two with some nibbles but it is also home of Zagat rated 'Excellent' Bacchus Bistro. Overlooking the 55-acre winery, they serve authentic French bistro cuisine with a little West Coast flair.

And for a bonus...

Fraser Valley Cider Company

I'm so excited to be able to add this up-and-comer to the list! While not a winery, this newly opened craft cidery is not only amazing but also a neighbour. Be sure to check out their beautifully designed tasting room, enjoy a cider flight, and sit in their picnic area and snack on some of the locally sourced treats they serve fresh on site... If they have bacon jam when you're there, it's a can't miss!

So next time you're heading to the farm, why not make a day of it and visit one of our wonderful local producers?
