A Love Letter To Our Customers

It’s Valentine’s Day and it just doesn’t feel right to not take a moment to show a little love to you!

I know we say it a lot but we absolutely cannot do this without you.

You show up for us with your kind words, your referrals, your encouragement and your orders. You cheer us on when we need it most and give us so much grace when we need that even more. You’ve watched our family grow — If you’ve been here from the beginning, can you even believe how big Jagger is these days?!

When I think of our customers I have a million stories that warm my heart, like Terri-Lynn who was one of my very first customers back when our chicken was stored in chest freezers in the back of a dirty old barn with no lights and she’d hold my cell phone flashlight for me while I would dive into the freezer digging around for the perfect bird.

Or Adam who checks in to let us know when he’s out of town for long periods of time, because he knows we worry if we don’t hear from him in a while… for real, mom, Jay, and I will all check in with each other if we haven’t heard from him.

Then there’s Ruth who lovingly thought to include our teenaged farm hands with a gift at Christmas — They couldn’t believe someone thought of them! It warmed my hearts to see that especially since they’re all so new to the workforce so they’ve never had anything like that.

There are so many others. You all genuinely feel like family to us, Jay and Uncle Harv always report back that so-and-so just had her baby or someone else did well in their surgery. We know when kids are home from University or that your favourite thing we sell is a smoked chicken so when they’re restocked we keep an eye out for your order so we can let you know if you missed it.

We started as a farm of one — just me — but we’ve grown into a little business that has made room for other team members. That said, the thing I’m most proud of is that each one of those part-time team members is family… well not Matt but as our nephew Dayton’s best friend, he might as well be.

So thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting us, we truly hope you feel like part of our farm because you my friend are the most important part!
