About Farmer Ashlee:

Having grown up tending veggies in the garden with her grandma, Ashlee of Inner Peas Market Garden started farming full time 4 years ago after she got sick with an autoimmune disease.

After doctors started explaining to Ashlee that she needed to avoid certain foods and be careful to eliminate chemicals used in the production of the food she was eating she decided to start growing her own, so she could feel confident knowing it was safe for her.

She grows her vegetables naturally, although not certified, and focuses on heirloom varieties with the hopes to get into medicinal herbs in the future.

In the last 4 years, Ashlee has been lucky to supply a variety of local chefs and restaurants including, Fortitude Restaurant, The Fat Cow & Oyster Bar, Tap Restaurant, Restaurant 62, and Top Chef Canada winner Chef Matthew Stowe, just to name a few…

But wait, what the heck is a CSA?

A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program is a program designed to benefit both the farmer, and the consumer. It’s a weekly seasonal produce box that runs for 18 weeks from June until October.

Customers purchase the program up-front in advance, which gives farmers an 'advance' to be able to purchase seed, soil amendments and other necessary supplies for the season.

In return, you are offered fresh, local weekly produce at a discounted price, as it would cost you much more to purchase these items individually from the farmers market. You also get the freshest produce possible, as everything is typically harvested within 48hrs prior to pick-up. Every Thursday from Mid-June to Mid-October you will be able to pick up your weekly CSA box from 4pm-8pm at our farm in Langley.

Can’t commit to a CSA?

Farmer Ashlee will have any extra produce available for sale in our soon-to-open on farm store starting this Spring. She’s not yet sure on the volumes she’ll have available after filling her CSA’s and restaurant orders but you will have a chance to grab some items when you’re at the farm.
